The City of Lakes

Why Choose Our Udaipur Tour Packages?

Udaipur feels very different from Rajasthan's desert cities. Founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II as the capital of Mewar, it's built around lakes, with palaces on the water, ghats, temples and old-city lanes full of craft shops. It's made for a slow, relaxed holiday.

We plan your Udaipur travel package around what matters most to you, whether that's palaces, lakes, shopping or a romantic break.

What we plan for you

  • Sightseeing planned around your time and interests
  • A private car and driver for city tours and nearby trips
  • Hotels to match your budget, including lake-view rooms
  • One-day tours, 2 to 3 day stays or longer Rajasthan trips
  • An easy pace for families, and romantic extras for couples
  • Day trips to Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur, Chittorgarh or Mount Abu

Must-see sights

Best Places to Visit in Udaipur

A good Udaipur sightseeing tour mixes the big palaces with time by the lakes.

01

City Palace

The largest palace complex in Rajasthan, built by the Mewar rulers on the bank of Lake Pichola from 1559 onwards. Walk through its courtyards, mirror rooms, balconies and the museum, with lake views at every turn. Plan two to three hours, more if you love photography.

City Palace, Udaipur

02

Lake Pichola

The heart of Udaipur, with the City Palace on one bank and the Aravalli hills behind. A boat ride takes you past the white Lake Palace (now a hotel) and stops at Jag Mandir island. The sunset ride is the most popular, so we book it ahead for your dates.

03

Jagdish Temple

A large Vishnu temple built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh I, a short walk from City Palace. Climb the steps to see its finely carved stone walls. Dress modestly and remove your shoes before entering.

Jagdish Temple, Udaipur

04

Saheliyon Ki Bari

The "Garden of the Maidens", an 18th-century royal garden with fountains, lotus pools, marble elephants and shady lawns. It's a calm break between the palaces and busy market streets, and good for families.

05

Fateh Sagar Lake

A bigger, quieter lake north of the old city, with a long promenade, boat rides to Nehru Park island and snack stalls in the evening. Moti Magri, a hill with the Maharana Pratap memorial, is right next to it.

Fateh Sagar Lake, Udaipur

06

Bagore Ki Haveli

An 18th-century haveli on Gangaur Ghat, now a museum of royal life. In the evening it hosts Dharohar, a lively Rajasthani folk dance and puppet show. We book your show seats with the rest of your plan.

07

Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace

Built in 1884 by Maharana Sajjan Singh on a hilltop outside the city, it has the best views over Udaipur's lakes and the Aravallis. Go in the late afternoon for sunset. The road climbs through a wildlife sanctuary, so we keep extra time for it.

08

Udaipur's Old City Markets

Hathi Pol and Bada Bazaar are the places for miniature paintings, silver jewellery, block-print textiles, wooden puppets and leather goods. Keep a free hour or two for shopping and a rooftop café.

4 to 5 days? See Udaipur at an easy pace and add one or two nearby places: Kumbhalgarh Fort, Ranakpur Jain Temple, Chittorgarh Fort or Mount Abu. They're in different directions, so we pick the ones that fit your days instead of rushing you through all of them.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Udaipur Tour Packages

More questions? Call or WhatsApp +91 77373 10027.

How many days are enough to visit Udaipur?

Two days are enough for most first-time visitors to see City Palace, Jagdish Temple, a Lake Pichola boat ride, Saheliyon Ki Bari and Fateh Sagar. Take three days for a slower pace, and four to five days if you want to add Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur or Chittorgarh.

What is the best Udaipur tour package for first-time visitors?

Our two-day Udaipur package is the best fit. Day one covers City Palace, Jagdish Temple, the old city and a sunset boat ride. Day two covers the gardens, Fateh Sagar and either the Bagore Ki Haveli show or Sajjangarh at sunset.

Can I explore Udaipur in one day?

Yes. Start at City Palace, walk to Jagdish Temple and the old city, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari or Fateh Sagar in the afternoon, and end with a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola. It's a busy day, so we start early and keep stops short.

What is included in an Udaipur travel package?

Most Udaipur packages include your hotel, a private car with driver, airport or station pickup and a sightseeing plan for each day. Boat tickets, monument entry, a guide and meals can be added, and your written quote shows what's included and what's extra.

What is the estimated cost of an Udaipur trip?

It depends on the number of nights, the hotel (lake-view rooms cost more), the car, group size, season and day trips. Share your travel dates and number of guests, and we'll quote for your exact plan.

What is the best time to visit Udaipur?

September to March is the best time. The lakes are full after the monsoon and days are pleasant. April to June is hot, so plan sightseeing early in the day. July and August bring rain and green hills.

Is Udaipur suitable for a family holiday?

Yes. Gardens, lakes, boat rides and the evening folk dance show work well for children, and most sights are close together. We plan fewer stops a day with regular breaks for kids and older parents.

Is Udaipur a good destination for couples and honeymooners?

Yes, it's one of India's favourite honeymoon cities. Couples love the lake-view hotels, sunset boat rides on Lake Pichola, rooftop dinners and evening walks on the ghats. We arrange a candlelight dinner or room decoration on request.

Can I book an Udaipur one-day sightseeing tour?

Yes. Your private car and driver collect you from the hotel, airport or station and take you around the main sights in one day. Tell us your must-see places and we plan the order.

Can I combine Udaipur with Kumbhalgarh or Ranakpur?

Yes. Kumbhalgarh is about 85 km and Ranakpur about 90 km from Udaipur, and most guests see both in one long day trip. You can also stay a night near Kumbhalgarh for a slower pace.

Can I combine Udaipur with Chittorgarh?

Yes. Chittorgarh Fort, a UNESCO site, is about 115 km from Udaipur, roughly 2 to 2.5 hours by road. It works as a day trip, or as a stop on the drive to or from Udaipur.

Do you offer Udaipur tour packages from Delhi?

Yes. Most guests from Delhi fly to Udaipur and we take over from the airport. We can also plan a road trip from Delhi via Jaipur, or book train or flight tickets for you on request.
